Organising a European Industrial Convoy in Brussels

From concept to on-site coordination, we organised a European industrial convoy bringing 15 trucks, more than 200 delegates and a symbolic procession carrying ten coffins to Brussels on 7 September 2026, supported by media coverage and audiovisual production.

The challenge

The starting problem

EUROMETAL’s European Convoy for Industrial Competitiveness brought companies and industry representatives together to call for a stronger future for European manufacturing. At the heart of the demonstration, participants carried ten symbolic coffins around the European Commission’s Berlaymont headquarters, representing the manufacturing capacity, jobs and industrial know-how Europe risks losing. Delivering the event in Brussels’ European Quarter required close coordination with the authorities, careful safety planning and synchronised movements for trucks and participants on foot. The message also needed to reach policymakers and audiences beyond the event itself.

Our approach

What we put in place

We developed and managed the event from preparation through to delivery, coordinating with the relevant authorities on authorisations, routes and safety arrangements. Our planning brought together truck logistics, participant arrivals, assembly points and the silent procession carrying the ten coffins within one coordinated schedule. On site, we managed the running order and coordination between the convoy and the demonstrators. Alongside the event logistics, we coordinated media coverage and the recording of interviews and event footage for television and other media outlets, creating a visual record for press use and subsequent communications.
